Top 10 Most Insane Things ChatGPT Has Done This Week

OpenAI made a name for itself earlier this year with the release of its image generator DALL-E, and now the forward-thinking artificial intelligence company has done it again with the release of its newest AI chatbot, ChatGPT.

Best News: Can ChatGPT Beat Google

Over a million users have been testing the limits of ChatGPT for the past week, receiving a mix of amazing, nonsensical, and useful responses. We’ve gathered 10 of the best examples so far, ranging from silly stories to college-level essays, and tried out a few prompts ourselves to demonstrate just how amazing this chatbot is.

What Is ChatGPT?

Sure, we could tell you what ChatGTP is ourselves, but why would we do that when it can introduce itself perfectly well?

ChatGPT, as explained by the Assistant, is a large language model trained by the San Francisco company OpenAI. It has been trained on text information covering a wide range of subjects, but its knowledge is limited to the end of 2021, and it cannot access the internet to learn new things.

One of the most notable differences between this chat AI and others we’ve seen in the past is its amazing ability to remember information from previous messages and write replies that take into account the entire context of the conversation.

It can also generate far more natural and accurate language than other publicly available AI, and in most cases, it is virtually indistinguishable from text written by a native human speaker.

Top 10 Most Insane Things ChatGTP Has Said This Week

Here are some crazy examples of what ChatGTP can do and how people have used it in the week since its release.

Nonsensical Prompts

ChatGPT can seemingly produce just about anything when it comes to generating random text covering a specific topic in a specific style.

  • The Biblical Verse

A popular Twitter example shows someone requesting that the bot write a biblical verse explaining how to remove a peanut butter sandwich from a VCR.

The response is undeniably on point and just as nonsensical as it should be. It makes sense that the bot was trained on something as famous and significant as the Bible, but it seems it was also given information on how to retrieve items from inside a VCR.

  • The Egg-Turned-Drawing-Tool

Here’s one of our own prompts, in which we ask the chatbot to write about someone attempting to sell an egg as a drawing tool. As you can see, you can keep adding new information and requesting revisions to fine-tune the output and get exactly what you want.

While ChatGPT has been trained to decline inappropriate requests, random, meaningless, and nonsensical prompts are not. You can spend as much time as you want asking for the strangest things you can think of, and ChatGPT will always be polite and helpful.

Because the chatbot remembers the entire conversation, you can delve deeper and deeper into a topic, and it will always respond in a neutral, polite, and context-appropriate manner. As a result, a few people have tried out therapy sessions with the bot and reported surprisingly positive results.

Useful Prompts

ChatGPT can do more than just generate coherent yet illogical responses. With so much information at its disposal, this chatbot can assist you with cooking recipes, essay work, coding, and studying.

  • The DeBugging Assistant

People have been using the chat site’s coding instructions as a potential example prompt to try out. ChatGPT accurately explains a bug, fixes it, and then explains the fix in this example.

However, ChatGPT is not always correct when it comes to coding. Because such a high percentage of the AI responses were incorrect, Stack Overflow was forced to temporarily ban users from sharing them.

Cases like this remind us that ChatGPT doesn’t know how to code or even realize it’s coding; it’s simply gathering related data and assembling it in a way that mimics existing examples.

  • The Dairy-Free Mac and Cheese

You can also enlist ChatGTP’s assistance with cooking recipes. It will respond with a general-purpose recipe if you create a prompt that includes the dish you want to make and any dietary restrictions you have.

Of course, there’s no guarantee that the result will be accurate or usable, so give it a once-over before turning on your stove.

As simple as searching Google for a recipe is, it may be preferable to avoid the process of sorting through multiple options and attempting to determine which is best. Furthermore, Google may ignore half of your keywords and still return recipes with ingredients you cannot eat.

  • The A- Essay

This Twitter user gave the AI an essay prompt from their history class and received a response that they thought was “solid A- work.” Because ChatGPT can generate such natural language and accurate content, there is a real possibility that this type of technology will put an end to the current college essay.

This level’s essay work focuses on comprehension and writing accuracy, but you don’t need to be creative to get a good grade. This is why ChatGTP can generate a high-quality response based solely on pre-existing answers and examples.

While the chatbot can only produce a limited amount of text at a time, some people have discovered ways to get around this and write full-length, plagiarism-free essays in a fraction of the time it would normally take.

  • The Language Assistant

Because English isn’t the only language ChatGTP can read and produce, it can also assist with basic linguistic tasks. We asked it to generate two sets of instructions for making miso soup, one in English and one in Japanese. Both versions were perfectly understandable and contained the same information.

Creative Prompts

You can also use this chatbot to help you come up with creative ideas. All new projects draw on previous works, and ChatGTP can generate an infinite number of plot lines, character backstories, world development, party ideas, gift ideas, and other ideas.

  • The Sci-Fi Novel Premise

ChatGTP can handle a lot of information and detail at once, so you can lay out a lot of context and requirements before asking for suggestions. You can continue to build on, tweak, and change aspects of its responses using its ability to remember previous messages to work towards an idea you like.
